It is faux leather so it's super sturdy and you don't have to worry about it being crushed if you use it for travel in a suitcase or anything. The zipper is very smooth and easy to open and close. I love how compact it is so you can basically fit it anywhere, purse, backpack, suitcase, whatever! Now, let's talk about the inside organization because it's awesome! It really is just like taking a mini jewelry box with you! It has ring slots to secure your rings and an adjustable storage area you can use for things like earrings, charms, and pins. On the top side it has an elastic pocket to secure your super tiny things, and it also has necklace hooks! How great is that! Don't worry about your necklaces bouncing around and getting tangled together in transit, these hooks will hold them in place and keep them tangle free! We've used this case for several trips already and we could not be happier about it.
